Jefferson Students Shine at the 37th Congressional Art Competition

 

Thomas Jefferson High School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our talented art students who recently participated in the 37th Congressional Art Competition.

Under the guidance of art teacher Yaneli Delgado, three Jefferson students, Diana Rodriguez, Kaylen Becker, and Ivana Ortiz, represented our school at this prestigious event. Their participation highlights the creativity, dedication, and artistic excellence fostered within our school community.

We are especially excited to share that Ivana Ortiz earned First Place, receiving a $1,000 scholarship along with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. Her award-winning artwork will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year. An incredible honor and testament to her hard work and talent.

In addition, Tanya Ramirez was recognized with an Honorable Mention, further showcasing the depth of artistic talent among Jefferson students.

The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide event that recognizes and celebrates the artistic abilities of high school students across the country. Jefferson High School is honored to have our students’ work recognized at such a distinguished level.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of our participating students and to Ms.Yaneli Delgado for her continued dedication to nurturing student creativity and success.

La Preparatoria Thomas Jefferson se enorgullece en celebrar los logros destacados de nuestros talentosos estudiantes de arte que recientemente participaron en la 37ª Competencia de Arte del Congreso.
 
Bajo la dirección de la maestra de arte Yaneli Delgado, tres estudiantes de Jefferson, Diana Rodríguez, Kaylen Becker e Ivana Ortiz, representaron a nuestra escuela en este prestigioso evento.
 
Estamos especialmente emocionados de compartir que Ivana Ortiz obtuvo el primer lugar, recibiendo una beca de $1,000 y la oportunidad única de viajar a Washington, D.C. Su obra de arte será exhibida en el Capitolio de los Estados Unidos durante un año. Un honor increíble que refleja su talento y dedicación.
 
Además, Tanya Ramirez recibió una Mención Honorífica, lo que resalta aún más el talento artístico presente en la escuela Jefferson.
